My Life in the ATE World

This is a book I am writing at the moment. Scheduled to be completed by the end of 2003, this is a book about the ATE (Automated Test Equipment) industry. It is designed to provide technical details, a day in the life of a ATE service engineer, who's who, and my own personal prediction on the coming semiconductor uprise and other resources about the semiconductor industry in general. The book is based on my experiences in the field of application development. (I am currently an employee of SZ Testsysteme AG, a German ATE manufacturer which had a stronghold in Europe and Japan)

The book is specially dedicated to all the crew in Penang.

As of December 2002, I am still in the process of writing the introduction. Due to the small amount of free time I have, I think the book is going to take a long time to finish.

Update (January 2003)

SZ Testsysteme AG is officially acquired by Credence (an US ATE company specializing in ASL (linear device) and Quartet,Octet (SOC testing), so I am now an employee of Credence.

Update(March 2003):

I will submit the first chapter of the book for open review hopefully by the end of this month.
